Scholarship Overview

We believe in the transformative power of music to heal, inspire, and connect. This scholarship supports college students pursuing careers in music therapy by awarding scholarships to passionate candidates who demonstrate financial need, academic dedication, and a commitment to using music as a therapeutic tool.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Enrolled full-time in an accredited music therapy program (undergraduate or graduate).

  • Minimum 2.75 GPA (or equivalent).

  • Submit a completed application, including a 500-800 word essay (see prompts below), two letters of recommendation, and a video of one of your performances or your work with children and music.

  1. The Power of Music in Healing: Share a personal or observed experience where music brought comfort, joy, or relief to a hospitalized child. How did this inspire your career path in pediatric music therapy?

  2. Advocacy Through Music: Hospitalized children often face emotional and physical challenges. How would you use music therapy to address their unique needs? Describe your ideal approach and goals.

  3. Turning Pain into Purpose: If you or someone close to you has experienced pediatric illness, how did music play a role in coping or recovery? How will this perspective shape your work as a therapist?
